This is a family owned cajun cafe. Very friendly atmosphere with great home cooked meals at very reasonable prices. I have been here 4 times now and the good is always good. Todays lunch special was crawfish enchiladas with red beans and rice. A mix of Mexican and cajun with a good amount of crawfish, cheese, crab and sauce! I find my self stopping in whenever i am on that side of town around lunch time. You won't be disappointed if you like cajun (flavorful) food!

CLOSED-this place is closed. We tried to eat here twice over the last week and nobody was home. All lights were off; the Open sign was off. No cars in the parking lot, no signs on the door.

I love Cajun cooking and I frequent all the Cajun restaurants. Note I'd be lying if i told you they where the best in town when it comes to Gumbo. The gumbo is good I've just had better. They have a great menu in which I'm slowly working my way thru. The blackened catfish and red beans and rice is amazing, as well as the jambalaya. Boudin balls are different and delicious. To top it off the price is right. Really hoping this place can make thru the winter and become a local hot spot.

I was lucky enough to have eaten at Swampy's last week while on vacation. My only complaint is there wash too much food in my plate!!! And yes i ate it all. Food is delicious, service was great- I like a place where you can joke around with he staff- felt like I was one of the regulars. FYI- the bread pudding w/rum sauce is to die for! I highly recommend Swampy's to everyone! Enjoy.

Last night for dinner, I had the grilled catfish, fried grits and onion rings; catfish had too much seasoning on it; very salty; enjoyed the onion rings; grits were fried which was a unique touch but they were bland. Our waitress did a great job waiting on us seven ladies.

The food overall was good. I had crawfish étouffée and fried shrimp with white rice and it was yummy! My boyfriend got the fried seafood platter which was average but one hi-light of the platter was the fried cheese grits :) oysters were delicious! They are new so I hope they can make it through the winter if nothing else so the server has more tables. We were her only table and it was very apparent!
